A Sex Doll for Your Dog's...Needs

Yes, it's another thing I thought was a joke, but one company actually makes sex dolls for dogs. It's marketed by a French company, and it's called, naturally, the "Hot Doll." I don't know about you, but I've never had a humper (probably because I've had only female dogs), but I'm betting this could be an awkward issue.

According to China Daily, a company spokesman said: "Dogs have sexual needs or domination problems, which push them to climb on various objects such as cushions, teddy bears, and in the worst case on legs of your neighbors, guest, postman or your own."

He added: "Its shape and materials allow the product to be stable, to grip on the floor, to be resistant and to have a soft touch." Um, yeah, the most icky part? "To clean it you just have to pull the hole out and wash it with soap and water," he said. Grody, no? Hours of pup pleasure are available for the bargain price of 399 Euros. Would you ever purchase a sex toy for your dog?

Classic Pet Toys

So, by now, you may all know of my obsession with the pet company Harry Barker. Started by a former model who battled Cushing’s disease (her story is amazing…check out the website if you have a chance), the company makes some amazing products, from beds to collars to toys. I also love that most of what they make is environmentally friendly.

I noticed that I haven’t featured many dog toys on RedRiley, and I wanted to share some with you guys. Two of my favorites are the Cotton Rope Celtic Ball and the Hemp Stripe Bone Toy. There aren’t many bells and whistles with these; they’re simply classic and whimsical.

To take a look at other Harry Barker toys and products, visit their website.

I’m also wondering, does your dog have a favorite toy?

Indestructible Dog Toys

Every time I invest in a new dog toy or stuffed animal for Riley, it's the same story: Within minutes, it has been ripped to pieces; stuffing or plastic bits litter my apartment; and Riley looks just as bored as she did a few moments beforehand. I used to get a kick out of how fired up she'd get when I'd give her a new toy. Until, that is, I realized that just 5 minutes of pure joy for her was costing me $10-$15 a pop.

So, I went on a quest to find a toy she wouldn't be able to murder. I eventually found Tuffy Dog Toys, which are about as indestructible as a dog toy can get. They also come in hilarious shapes, sizes, and patterns.Tuffy's Polly PiggyTuffy's Mega Ring

Riley still has the Mega Ring, and it's the only toy in her arsenal that she hasn't mutilated. But not for lack of trying.
